One of my favourite videos since I was a kid and used to record Friday Night Videos on my VCR that only went up to channel 13.

A couple weeks ago, I saw a flyer for A&B Sound that had a big ad for the new album by Sergio Mendes:

I kept staring at the name and the photo wondering "Why do I know him? Why is that name so familiar?". I knew it wasn't because of the music, because I haven't heard it. It was from some movie or show, like Tito Puente on Simpsons, but it wasn't Tito Puente. It was Sergio Mendes.

My brother saw it too and said he sees the CD everyday at Starbucks and he too finds it familiar but can't place it.

Today he sends me an email:

"Mystery Solved: The name was from Seinfeld when Kramer and Newman were trying to sell their records to the used record store. I LOATHE YOU!!"

Of course!

Record Store Guy: Well, whattya got here, y'know, you got "Don Ho: Live At Honolulu", you got "Jerry Vale Sings Italian Love Songs" you got Sergio Mendes, now come on...
Kramer: Wait, wait, wait... Sergio Mendes has a cult following.
Newman: They follow him like a cult.
Kramer: He can't even walk down the street in South America.

Sergio Mendes, who ever you are, whatever music you play, you made my day.
