favourite quotes from the weekend:
person:
"remember when King Kong Bundy was going to splash that midget, but the other midget would pull him out of harm's way at the last second? i hated that other midget."
tv:
"That throwing stick of yours has boomeranged on us!" - Bart vs. Australia
quote within a song:
"i was young too. i felt just like you. hated authority. hated all my bosses, thought they were full of shit. but it's like they say 'if you're not a rebel by the age of twenty, you've got no heart. but if you haven't turned establishment by thirty, you've got no brains'. because there are no storybook romances. no fairytale endings. before you run out and change the world ask yourself: what do you really want?"
- Lagwagon - Gun in Your Hand
side effects coupled with withdrawl bleeding!
the chud wrote up most of what happened at the trail of dead concert last night. we briefly met Neil and Conrad before the show. we're like, best friends now.

the hair drama of the year: Mulit (quicktime, 9MB). finally a bollywood movie i want to see! but alas, its a parody by Absolut. i wish it were real.
***
by far, the coolest scene in Royal Tanenbaums.
***
Stonehenge! where the demons dwell, where the banshees live and they do live well!

Trail of Dead are playing tonight. a few days ago i was writing some stuff down, but i couldn't remember what the date was. so i wrote down June (Trail of Dead - 4 days), 2003. i eventually figured out 26-4 = 22nd, but (Trail of Dead - 4 days) looks so much better.
and i should have been in Seattle last night. Trail of Dead were signing autographs and singing with a Karaoke machine for fans at Sonic Boom Records in Seattle. FUCK. i coulda sang my made-up words to Novena Without Faith!

one of my other favourite bands, The Bouncing Souls are coming in August, and not only that, they're playing my favourite venue: Richards on Richards, which means no minors! hehe screw you sweaty minors!
its been a good year for my fav bands coming to town.
i've been wanting to post more photos for like, years now. but i keep changing the design/programming of the
photo site i want to create. its my very own vapourware.
so instead i started a
fotolog last night.

- sending e-mails where i explain that everything is pretty much light, including bits of matter at a particle level that neither come into nor go out of existence. and at that level, i am bits of matter neither coming into nor going out of existence. i am light and i am eternal.
- the new Me First and the Gimme Gimmes album

continuing with the bird thing from the last post. last week i was in the yard watering the newly planted trees. a crow swooped down and landed on a branch on the tree i was watering, 3 ft from my head. it gave me a slight nod. i returned the nod. then it flew away. i yelled "wait! come back! you haven't told me who to kill yet!"

last night after dinner, i was bored so i decided to go for a quick late evening run. i usually run through the streets for the first half, and run back on the trails on the golf course for the second half. it was about 9:30, the sun was mostly set and the sky was orange. i had just run past a rabbit and a deer, and that was on the street. i hopped the small fence that blocks the golf carts to enter the golf course. i had the ipod playing Less Than Jake - Anthem, which really has been my anthem of late:
and I swear it's the last time and I swear it's my last try
and we'll walk in circles around this whole block
walk on the cracks of the same old sidewalks
and we'll talk about leaving town
and we'll talk about leaving
i was rocking out cause no one was around and i love songs about leaving town, when something hits me on the side of the head. the sprinklers on the golf course turned on automatically, and one was pointed right at me. the entire right side of my body was soaked.
it was pretty cool.
